gallery neptune & brown offers a wide range of curatorial and consulting services based on years of experience and long professional relationships with artists, auction houses, galleries, private collectors, and museums.

ART ACQUISITION AND ADVISING. neptune & brown will act as your agent for buying and selling, whether it be one piece or an entire collection. We offer auction and art fair previews, as well as advise on transactions with auction houses, galleries, artists, and publishers. We inspect the condition of each piece, photograph, research, assess value, provide comparables, and bid or negotiate on your behalf. Subsequently, we handle crating, shipping, art transport, connections to conservators and framers, and advise on museum loans and other collecting concerns. COLLECTION MANAGEMENT. We provide management services for new and existing collections of all sizes to include advising on recent acquisions, inventory of artworks, installation, framing, valuations, editing collections, advise on various types of insurance, providing condition reports, arranging storage and relocations. APPRAISALS. We provide appraisals for insurance, estate, charitable donation, damage, divorce, equitable distribution, financial planning and gift tax. Robert Brown has been an appraiser of fine art for twenty-five years. He is a member of the Appraisers Association of America, The District of Columbia Bar Association and is (USPAP) Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices compliant. INSTALLATION AND DESIGN. David Kalamar has twenty years of installation experience. David has the eye and the expertise for curating, designing and installing new or existing collections in homes and corporate offices. He enjoys working one on one with clients that love their art but are nervous about placement.
