gallery neptune & brown is pleased to present our third solo exhibition withBen Ferry, Take the Long Way Home.
In his watercolors and drawings, Ferry captures the poignant universal feelings of nostalgia associated with the places people escape to that nourish their souls. Ferry celebrates the beauty and quaintness of small coastal towns from the Eastern Shore to the Pacific Northwest.
In his own words, Ferry explains:
“There is a special kind of light that can be found in these places, but more than anything, you feel a disconnect from the chaos. It’s like you've been transported back to a simpler time. This exhibition is a celebration of these places that we all love to visit and the people who inhabit them.”
Ferry is a figurative and narrative artist whose work captures true Americana. He has a way of exploring communities, people and places with universal relatability.
Ben Ferry is a Washington DC native and a fine art educator at Holton-Arms School. He obtained undergraduate and master’s degrees from George Washington University. He has been exhibited and collected widely for over twenty years.
